We are so lucky that fantastic talented Ellen from the blog HELLO HOUSE will be one of the regular guest blogs here at NIB going forward. Once a month, Ellen will share his interior tanks and tips with us. Take her well, we Nib girls simply can’t get enough of her style!
Made on an evening
I like some things in the decor just falling into place by themselves, because sometimes you are lucky enough to find something or get something or maybe even borrow something that makes all the difference. I am extra weak for solutions that can be performed in a maximum of one night!
How to proceed the project?
We have stacked 3 pallets in height and chose to assemble the 4 units at an angle. All the pallets are fastened together with long screws, so that they are stable. This should be the place to just throw down, and then it is practical that the pallets do not slip.
At the top are the usual single mattresses, and of course lots of soft pillows. Lovely with a corner corner! The pallets are completely untreated, it is a bit because I like that some things can only be like that in the first place. These pallets are very different, some are bright and others more rough. Someone has traveled more than others .. I like that!
Only the imagination that sets limits?
It’s amazing what a pallet can be used for! Easy to get a little pallet dilla and I guess a kind of pallet trend, at least here in the house! We have a pallet with wheels as a coffee table, and a pallet with wheels under the window in the children’s room. This is a favorite place for relaxation!
In the spring and summer, there will be more out there as well. I know about the occasional sunny corner, which needs a pallet! And then I dream about outdoor kitchen, and I imagine a kind of pallet bench with concrete slab ..
DIY OUTDOOR PALLET SOFA
Since this week has been terribly gray and sad – a lot of rain and wind – I have just swept a little bit beyond the wall with the paint brush;
… if you’ve read the new issue of BoligDrøm, you might have seen my work drawings? When I wrote the text of this column, the pallets still lay under a thick layer of cold snow on the terrace, I remember… So work drawings were the best I could contribute with * smiles * But today I have pictures of the sun beds. Do you want to see how we made them?Europall x2
planks 240cm x4
Rubber wheels X4
Screws
p.s. The two rear wheels have a brake. Highly recommended – it is very convenient. I’ll have soft mattresses and pillows on top 🙂
The terrace was turned into a small joinery today. And the boy looked forward to the sun as well. cozy 🙂
1. Place the two pallets – upside down – one after the other on a flat surface
2. Attach the two pallets with planks, 4pcs to 240cm – use screws
3. Fit the rubber wheels, one in each corner of the sunbed
4. Place a mattress in the right size on the top + lots of delicious pillows – Enjoy!
Have a super weekend, dear everyone !! p.s. Thousand, THANK YOU for all the super-good lawn tips!
