10. A Unique pull out drawer hack from @Chrisarneson
This time we will look at Chris Arneson’s kitchen’s custom vertical spice and storage racks. These racks were built by an amateur cabinetmaker, aiming for good quality. They offer convenience when cooking by allowing easy visibility and access to spices. The alphabetical arrangement adds to the simplicity.
The idea is excellent, and adding horizontal rods prevent the jar from clattering. Each shelf has a 1/2″ lip to ensure that no jars have fallen out during the eight years of use.
If you plan to adopt the idea, use high-quality slides to ensure smooth operation and minimize Day-to-day rattling.
Hidden door slides are preferable, on top and bottom, but you can replace them with A Friho 5 Pair of 22 Inch Hardware Ball Bearing Side Mount Drawer Slides, which is cheaper.
Your slides need to be vertically oriented to support the weight of your drawer and supplies. Mounting them only on the top and bottom would result in sagging. The exposed slides are similar to those on other drawers.
