A Cinder block shelving idea
Let’s be real for a second. I mean, have you seen the prices of shelves these days? It’s like they expect us to be made of money! But don’t worry; I’ve got a good offer for you.
Try these cinder block shelves if you’re not exactly handy with a hammer. You only need nine 6″ wide planks, six crates, and 12 cinder blocks. It’s like building a giant game of Jenga, except instead of trying not to topple it over, you’re building a storage solution.
Start by standing four blocks – 2 on each side with the holes facing forward – and lay one plank on top of them. Keep doing this up to three levels high, then put two crates into each level. It’s like building a Lego tower, but instead of stepping on them in the dark and hurting your feet, you’re organizing your stuff on them.
These crates can store just about anything, and the cubby holes can hold art supply canisters, bills, tape dispensers, staplers, and more. It’s like having your own storage wonderland without calling a genie and trading the gift with your sole soul.
