15 Ways To Use The Back Of A Closet Door For Storage And Organization
When it comes to organizing and storage in your home, don’t forget about the back of your closet doors! This hidden gem of a spot is a perfect space for gaining extra storage. We all have them, so why not put them to good use?
Use the back of a pantry door for storing pot lids. Build your own rack or mount several curtain rods to the back of your door.
Adjustable shelf strips can be added to back of a closet door and configured to store anything you can think of. Here it’s used on the back of a door to hold kitchen supplies.

You are so right about doors going unused. Most of our closet doors are the sliding louvered doors. Can’t do too much with those although we do have some doors I’m looking to improve. I am using the shoe holder to hold cleaning supplies, and love it! Everything stays together. I have a bag dispenser beside it which holds my cleaning rags. I love all these ideas!

I so love these ideas. Recently I used the back of my closet door to use Command hooks to hang all my necklaces. Looks so good but a bit noisy when I open the door. Still working on it.
Also, I used the back of my linen closet and utilized my old shoe bag to hang folded house flags (seasonal). They all look great now & I can see each one quickly now. Back of my pantry door holds all my baggies and aluminum foils as well as saran wrap as well as my cooking silt pad. I love being organized.
In My Wee Abode, I only have two ‘normal’ doors: the one entering my home and the bathroom door. The bathroom door is home to my ironing board and iron (with a pretty cover that coordinates with my bathroom, of course! 😉 ) My entry door goes directly into my kitchen, so I am thinking of making it a spice/bottle rack to hold pretty labeled spices, oils, etc. 🙂
