I’ve mentioned before that my master bathroom is small and lacks drawer space.
It is also not a place that gets seen by many people, so I haven’t had the motivation to make it look nice. I decided it was time to give it some organization and style at the same time.
Below is the “before” picture.
The shower curtain came with the house and we have kept it up for over 2 years.
I’m actually kinda shocked I allowed that to happen!
I love the collection Sanctuary by Michael Miller!! The colors are so calming. Perfect for the mood I want to set in my room and bathroom.
I especially thought the Seafoam Glass Tiles (the fabric in the bottom left corner) would work great for a bathroom.
I get to look at beautiful tiles without having to add actual tile to my bathroom!
I used Seafoam Glass Tiles, Pear Zen Garden, and Seafoam Aromatherapy for the shower curtain, Seafoam Seaweed Wrap for the toothbrush holder and Pear Zen Garden for the comb holder.

Plain Shower Curtain
Approximately 1/2 Yard Fabric
Thread (I matched it to the shower curtain)
Vanishing Marker
I started by tracing different sized circles onto the fabric with the Vanishing Marker.
If you look close you can see the line from the vanishing marker. I continued to trace and cut circles. I cut 26 circles of different sizes.
I drew a line with the vanishing marker about where I wanted my circles.
I started the circles at the line and worked my way out.
When I liked the way the circles were placed I pinned them down.
I sewed the circles on with a medium zig zag stitch. You could also use a satin stitch if you don’t want to see any of the edge. Just make sure you use a stabilizer if you choose that stitch. Don’t forget to backstitch.
Here is a close up of the stitching.
When I needed to curve the stitching I would place my needle thorough the fabric, lift the presser foot up and adjust the fabric back under the needle. (Shown above).
The one tricky part of this project is working with the extra fabric as you are sewing a circle. It gets easier the more you do it, so don’t get discouraged!
Because it is SO worth it when you hang it up and fall in love with your new shower curtain, that is not only one of a kind, but much less expensive than most alternatives.

You know what would really put the cherry on top of the cake is to get some white towels, add the same design.. if not bath towels, just do the hand towels. Roll up with designs showing and put in a basket on top of the counter or the commode. You could even frame the design and hang it in there..is this just too much? If so, forgive me this is my first comment on this blog! “YIKES”
