10. A Simple Mobile storage Project Idea
Transform those piles of old crates into a functional and stylish organizer with this simple DIY project! And the best part? You can complete it for under 40 dollars.
First, adjust the crates by removing a single slat with pliers and screwdrivers. Then, give the remaining crate a fresh coat of paint. Take accurate measurements of the crate’s dimensions and transfer those numbers onto the cleats. Carefully cut the cleats to size using a miter box and manual saw.
Next, create four bases for each crate and sand them down with sandpaper. Choose a plank to serve as the top and use it to support your plants. Trace the outline of your terracotta pots onto the plank, adding 2 cm to the diameter to create the outer line. Cut along these lines to create hollowed-out spaces for your pots.
Assemble all the planks, crates, and cleats using screws. Add castors to the base with wood screws and a screwdriver for easy mobility. Finally, place your terracotta pots on top, and immerse yourself in a new indoor gardening experience in style!
