A Slim Console Behind the Couch Project Idea with Built-in Shelves
Create this slim console at the narrow space behind the couch for your beverage footrest with bookshelves on both sides to store magazines. It uses pine boards for the body and deluxe oak wood for the top.
To begin, cut the pine board to the desired measurement and quickly sand the cut edges. For a better finish, paint all the pieces before assembly. First, make the two pairs of built-in shelves and put them in place behind the sofa. Measure the width between the two, cut the oak board, and overhang it on each end.
